Fintwist and iConnectData: Which System Are You Actually Looking For?
If you are searching for Fintwist and iConnectData, the most useful fact to understand is that they are related but they are not simply two names for the same user account.
Fintwist has been the payroll and prepaid-card brand used by cardholders, and its current official successor branding is Corpay Prepaid. iConnectData, usually shortened to ICD, is Comdata’s web-based account-management environment used by businesses and program administrators for functions such as card administration, reporting, invoices and payments. Employers administering Fintwist card programs can encounter Fintwist functions inside iConnectData, which is why the names frequently appear together.
The easiest way to choose the correct system is to start with what you are trying to accomplish.
The Four Names in One Map
The terminology becomes much easier when each name has a specific role.
Corpay
Corpay is the parent business-payments company. Comdata describes itself as part of Corpay, and Corpay has progressively consolidated several payment brands under the broader Corpay identity.
Comdata
Comdata continues to operate as a Corpay business, particularly in commercial card and fleet-payment markets.
Comdata also maintains the Resource Center that contains extensive documentation for iConnectData and historical documentation for Fintwist programs.
Fintwist / Corpay Prepaid
Fintwist became the name associated with Comdata’s payroll-card offering. The current prepaid website now states that Fintwist is Corpay Prepaid, although existing users may continue to encounter the Fintwist name in the mobile app, card materials and documentation.
iConnectData
iConnectData is a Comdata account-management portal rather than simply the consumer-facing name of a payroll card.
Current Comdata documentation describes ICD as a self-service environment and documents areas such as Manage, Reporting, Payment Center and Resource Center. What a particular user sees depends on permissions and the products associated with the account.
If You Are a Cardholder
Suppose your employer gave you a Fintwist payroll card and you want to:
- check your available balance;
- review transactions;
- use the mobile app;
- suspend a lost card;
- understand a transaction;
- access cardholder support;
- transfer money where your program supports it.
Those are primarily cardholder tasks.
The current Corpay Prepaid site still tells cardholders that money can be managed through the Fintwist App. The Apple App Store likewise continues to list Fintwist as an app for users who received a Fintwist or Comdata payroll card through an employer, with functions including balance and transaction viewing.
See our Fintwist Cardholder Guide for those tasks.
Do not assume that a search result containing the words “iConnectData” is therefore the correct general account page for every employee-cardholder task.
If You Are a Payroll or Program Administrator
The situation changes when the task belongs to the employer.
Comdata’s Fintwist documentation tells administrators to enter the Branded Debit area of iConnectData for functions that include creating cardholders, assigning or ordering cards and performing card loads. The same documentation covers cardholder searches, load reports and invoice reconciliation.
This is the important connection between the two seed terms:
Fintwist is the card/payroll program; iConnectData can be the administrative environment used to manage that program.
For the detailed employer workflow, see How Employers Manage Fintwist Paycards in iConnectData.
If You Simply Need the iConnectData Login
Do not search through unofficial pages that imitate the login interface.
Comdata’s June 2026 login-recovery documentation directs users to the official iConnectData domain and explains that the login page includes both Forgot User ID and Forgot Password recovery paths.
The fact that an official login page exists does not mean a third-party publication should reproduce it. A genuine explanatory website should point users to official authentication rather than collect credentials itself.
Why the Same iConnectData Account Can Look Different
A common mistake is to assume that screenshots or instructions showing one ICD menu describe every account.
They do not.
Comdata explicitly notes that menu options depend on access permissions. Its documented main navigation can include functions under Manage, Reporting, Find, Payment Center, Resource Center and Help, but individual modules and actions may not appear for every user.
That is because iConnectData serves more than one payment use case.
Comdata publishes ICD resources for proprietary fleet customers, Mastercard fleet customers and virtual-payments customers in addition to Fintwist-related administration.
So an administrator who cannot find “Branded Debit” should not automatically conclude that the website is broken. Their user permissions, customer configuration or product relationship may be different.
Fintwist’s Rebranding Adds Another Layer
The current naming transition creates a time mismatch between search behavior and official branding.
Someone may search:
- Fintwist;
- Fintwist by Comdata;
- Fintwist by Corpay;
- Corpay Prepaid;
- Comdata payroll card.
Those terms can lead into different generations of documentation surrounding substantially the same cardholder ecosystem.
The current official prepaid site states that Fintwist is now Corpay Prepaid and introduces PayCard for payroll and FlexCard for other eligible prepaid disbursement programs. At the same time, the official mobile application remains branded Fintwist.
Our Fintwist to Corpay Prepaid guide focuses specifically on that transition.
What Belongs to Your Employer Instead
Not every payment problem is a Fintwist or iConnectData problem.
Your employer controls employment and payroll information that may exist outside the card platform. Depending on the organization, that can include:
- hours worked;
- gross wages;
- tax withholding;
- payroll corrections;
- employee status;
- whether a payment was approved;
- the payment method selected in the employer’s HR system.
A card provider may show that money reached a card account, but it cannot necessarily explain why an employer calculated a paycheck a certain way.
Likewise, a payroll department may confirm the amount it transmitted without controlling how an individual card transaction was subsequently authorized.
Knowing which organization owns the failed step is often more useful than repeatedly resetting a password.
A Simple Decision Tree
I received a Fintwist/Corpay payroll card and want to manage my personal card.
Use cardholder resources or the Fintwist app.
I administer employees’ Fintwist cards for my company.
Your workflow may run through iConnectData’s Branded Debit tools.
I administer a Comdata fleet, virtual-card or other commercial program.
Use the iConnectData functions enabled for that particular account.
I forgot my iConnectData user ID or password.
Use the recovery controls on the official ICD login page.
My paycheck amount is wrong.
Start with the employer or payroll team, because the issue may precede the card platform entirely.
I see Fintwist in older instructions but Corpay Prepaid on a current website.
That can reflect the current branding transition rather than two unrelated payroll-card accounts.
Security Matters More Than the Brand Name
Searches involving “login” attract pages that can look more official than they are.
Before entering credentials, confirm that you are dealing with the authentic service. Do not enter an iConnectData user ID, card number, password, PIN or banking information into a third-party guide—including this publication.
[PUBLICATION NAME] provides explanations only.
The legitimate endpoint for an account task should be an official Comdata, Corpay or associated cardholder service that you reached through verified documentation, your employer or information supplied with your card.
